A Forest Feast is an edible sweet installation by Alejandra Alarcón that includes memories and fragments from urban and nonurban forest walks around Helsinki and Joutsa— from an abundance of bilberries and rowan berries to meadowsweet and yarrow growing in the liminal spaces of clear-cut forest areas. Like foraging, each taste of this feast becomes a playful act of recognition, while evoking memories from different seasons.
