Edible performance that took part of the opening event of Intento: A decolonial attempt in Aalto University.

This exhibition took off with an opening act of cutting and sharing vegan cake. I carefully crafted the cake days before, made of an assembly of lavender and lemon, candied oranges and ginger, and homegrown greens. During the performance, I sliced checkerboard pieces and passed them along guests while a text about my personal memories from home and feeling of belonging was read out loud.

It presents a curated collection of Master’s and PhD’s theses mainly from Aalto Arts that allow us to engage with specific territories around Latin America. This constellation of works embraces the details, the thoughts, the memories, and the experiences that have emerged from and entangled with specific geocultural localities”
